When I have worked with people who have supported my health or learning in the past, I usually wanted to know something about them, so here’s some fun and interesting facts about me!
I grew up on a very small farm in Ohio. We had apple trees, pear trees, grapes, rhubarb, onions, corn, and who knows what else! We also had chickens that we could never kill because we ended up liking them too much. Their eggs came in handy though. I also raised a pet raccoon.
I was born in 1977. People think I’m only 21, but it must be the healthy eating and organic food. Or perhaps it was the Oil-of-Olay I used daily throughout my teens and early 20’s.
My favorite daily staple is oatmeal.
I used to be an audio engineer in Orlando for 5 years before moving to New York. I worked in post-production - recording, editing, and mixing national radio broadcasts, and posting audio to video! I also had a short stint with a record label and even served P.O.D. dinner at my apartment before a show they were playing at our club.
Surfing is the only sport I watch on T.V.
My favorite food is sushi.
I am passionate about dance. I love hip hop!
My favorite non-fiction author is C. S. Lewis.
And most nights you will find me salsa dancing wherever I can find Latin music and a dance partner!
My favorite T.V. show is The Cosby Show.
My favorite movies are Tape, Shadowlands, Mona Lisa Smile, and the American Pie series.
My favorite singers/bands are Natalie Merchant, Cyndi Lauper, and the Dave Matthews Band.
I am actually not a vegetarian, but I love vegetables!
I was made fun of by my classmates all the time while I was growing up … especially for dancing. Thank God I never stopped!
My food weakness is anything made out of peanut butter or hazelnut….peanut butter cookies, hazelnut mousse…mmmmm!!
I believe exercise was meant to be incorporated into our lifestyle, and if it’s fun and relaxing we’ll stick to it. For over 5 years my workout routine has been opting for walking instead of the subway whenever possible (logging approx. 4 or 5 miles a day), and living it up on the dance floor (or in dance class)!
This year (2006) I am heading back to school, City College to study psychology and writing.
