1. Are You Healthy?

Have you ever sat and thought about what being healthy means
to you?  We often have an idea in our head that we want to be
healthy, get healthy, eat healthy etc., but have you ever defined
what being healthy is and what you want from it?  Do you have a
roadmap to get there?

General goals are often hard to attain because we haven't really
defined a picture of what they look like.  We don't know where it
is we want to go so we end up on the couch with a bag of Doritos.

There are a million ideas out there about what being healthy means.
For some it means only eating raw food, others are content to just
get a few servings of veggies a day.  Some define it as not using
chemical substances, i.e. quiting smoking, etc. Others would like to
have the ability to run a marathon.

What Is Your Own Definition?

Stop for a minute and ask yourself what being healthy looks like
for you?  How are you going to get there?

What foods are okay and which ones are not?  Are some okay
sometimes?  How often?  When?

How do you want to feel on a daily basis?  Can you feel better
than you do now?  Would the way you eat or exercise change this?

What about your personal life?  Are you getting your needs met?

What kind of and how much exercise do you want to do?  What
exercise will help you meet your goals?

The Journey

You don't have to meet your goals overnight.

For me, health is choosing and being as natural as possible, eating
only whole foods in their purest form and unprocessed.  Cooking is
okay with me though.  Treating myself with natural remedies whenever
possible and feeling good on a daily basis is important.  Exercising in a
way that is fun everyday and making time for my personal life is also
essential one goal.

These goals have been a journey and I don't meet them everyday,
but because I know where I'm going I am much closer to those
goals than I was 2 years ago and I find it easier to resist temptations
that would take me down another road!  You can do the same.

Know where you are going, and what is important to you.  Write
down the specific steps to get there.  Schedule it in your appointment
book and make a gradual, lasting change.  Reward yourself with a pat on
the back everytime you meet mini goals!

2.  Products I Love

As you read this the new wesbsite is in development, and one of
its new features will be a list of products I have personally tried
and love.  Sometimes it's hard to choose natural products such as
deoderant because we have less experience with them and we
don't know if the product will work.

Natural products usually don't get nearly as much advertising either,
and funny enough, even though we don't trust advertising, we
seem to trust a product much less if we have not seen it on T.V.

That said...here are a few things I recommend:

Nature's Gate Organics, Persimmon and Rose Geranium Deoderant
About a year ago I switched to natural deoderant without
anti-persperant.  This is one thing I knew I should do for awhile, but
I was so unwilling.  Eventually I was converted, but it took me much
trial and error to find a natural deodorant that really worked.  The one
above is my favorite!  And yes!  It works!

Tom's Of Maine Toothpaste
These guys are great.  I personally choose non-fluoridated toothpaste
but they offer both types.  They use all natural ingredients and my
favorite flavors are fennel (tastes like licorice) and cinnamon.

Burt's s Bees Concealing Creme and Vanishing Facial Powder
I love Burt's Bees products.  Their concealing creme works wonders on
the occassional blemish and the powder is great for evening out tones.

Burt's Bees Chapstick
I think they're the best.  It's the only chapstick that seems to work for
me without causing my lips to exfoliate.

Giovanni Organic Hair Care (Conditioners and Shampoos)
When I started using their products, my hair stopped falling out in the
shower.  (By the way, a little bit of hair loss each day is totally normal
but I noticed much less with this product.)  I love the smell and the
way it makes my hair feel.  It's the best I've tried yet.  (I've used
Avalon, Aubrey's, and Jason's in the past.)

Magazines
Unfortunately most health magazines don't offer good reporting.  Many
start off that way and as they grow or get acquired by larger corporations
the info seems to get watered down and focuses more on fads.

There are two magazines I highly respect and recommend.

Psychology Today - They are always writing about great discoveries
in health with food, exercise, stress management etc.  I respect and
trust their reporting...not to mention find the mag incredibly interesting
and helpful.

Experience Life - I haven't seen this one in the stores, although it may
be there.  Somehow my roommate ended up with a trial subscription
and I have been stealing all the issues!  shhhh...

So far I really feel they report the truth and are striving toward
integrity.  I love that in a company.  You can check their website at
http://www.lifetimefitness.com/magazine/

That's it for now!  Thanks for reading and I always enjoy your feedback.

3. Life Coaching & Nutrition Counseling - by Phone or In Person

Life Coaching  *  Wellness Counseling  *  Whole Foods  *  Organic  *  Natural
                            *  Truth  *  Integrity  *  Freedom  *

Are you content to hide behind your job? your relationships? your weight?
your pride? your insecurities?

To avoid taking the risk of expressing all that you are?
and experiencing all that you hoped for in life?

Opening up our heart makes us vulnerable: vulnerable to failure,
rejection, embarrassment, and loss.  That is scary, but being vulnerable
also opens us up to freedom, fulfillment, truth, and even the possibility
that we could receive more from life than we could’ve imagined.

Coaching is founded on truth and integrity.  Supporting you objectively
to be honest with yourself, to unlock parts of you that may be holding
back or not admitting to fears…or even desires!

Comfort is the one thing you cannot get by looking for it.  If you look
for truth you may find comfort in the end: If you look for comfort, you
will not get either comfort or truth- only soft soap and wishful thinking
to begin with and, in the end, despair.”  - C.S. Lewis

Life Coaching is provided to support your truest intentions in life and
to help you to find and discover the ones that got lost in the
responsibility of adulthood!

How would your life be different if you spoke your mind, faced your fears,
and pursued your true desires?  What if you no longer settled in your
relationships, your career, or even with yourself?

MyHeartDances TM also provides nutrition coaching that is whole foods
based.  This is for those who want to find a practical, balanced way to eat
well and feel good about themself, while seeking to live a full and healthier
life.

Results often include:

More Joy In Life
Courage To Pursue Dreams/Passions
Desire To Cook More At Home
Diminished Sweet Cravings
Balanced Energy
Weight Loss
Lowered Cholesterol
Elimination of Headaches
and more!

Consultations are available via phone or in person.  If you're ready to
really go after what you want, now is a terrific time to take that step.
Initial session is discounted.

There are fees that fit almost every budget.  If you are motivated, I
would love to hear from you.

6. Orlando - Cooking Class and Consultations

1.Cooking Class

MARCH 31st COOKING CLASS HELD IN WINTER PARK, FL  (Orlando)

I enjoyed you veggie burger class.  I made the entire menu last week
with great success.  The veggie burgers were fantastic.  The fact
that I made the meal again is a contrast with my previous
experiences, where I paid $100, made a small portion of a huge,
specialized meal for 20 people to share and never looked at the
recipes again. Congratulations on a great idea, I hope you keep this
going!!" ~Charlie

Class will be held in a beautiful kitchen on Lake Killarney
off of Orlando Avenue.

Only 5 spots available!
