1. Don't Wait Till Tomorrow To Appreciate Today
I have been looking in the mirror lately and realizing that in
the most subtle ways that I am getting older. I'm only 28,
but there are some differences from when I was 20, as tiny
as those changes are...I notice...even though no one else
probably does.
I know, I know... those of you who are older than me are
probably thinking "You think you're changing? Wait till you
get to be my age!" Yes. I've heard it before. :-)
Looking Back
And that is actually
exactly the point I want to make in
this newsletter. How many of us look back at pictures of
ourselves from 10 years ago and think "Man! I was beautiful
then... I can't believe I thought I needed to lose weight,"
or "I can't believe I felt insecure then, I wish I looked like
that now."
Perhaps you have gained weight since those pictures, but
even during the time those pictures were taken you
struggled with your body image. Now you look back and
wonder why because you only wish you could look the way
you did then.
Do you know what I mean?
It works in many other ways as well, career, money,
relationships. "Gosh! I had so much time then, why didn't I
use it to do more of the things I enjoy, or to get an
education" or "I had so much money then, I wish I would've
spent it wisely, now I'm strapped."
We can learn from these lessons. We can either go on
and continue with our cycle, or we can begin appreciating
our circumstances today, appreciating our body,
appreciating our time, appreciating our relatoinships, and
most of all, taking action to do what we really want to do.
Need To Make Some Changes?
Maybe you do need to make some changes...but how
much more time are you going to waste? For instance, if
you have been wanting to lose weight for 10 years, but
never really made the necessary changes, don't wait. It's
time to do it now and take it seriously. Even if it takes a
year, can you imagine how good you will feel once you
have accomplished it? No more worrying over this thing
that lingers in your mind!
As we grow older, the clearer and clearer it becomes just
how short life is. You won't be 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 forever.
Time is precious. Do what you need to do to have no
regrets for this stage of your life.
Coaching is available for weight loss by helping you to
have a healthier relationship with food and your life.

"I thought by going to Melissa I would get a few dieting tips, some
new recipes to try at home, maybe lose 2 or 3 pounds, and walk
away feeling pretty good about myself. What I received from my
sessions with Melissa was so much more! Melissa went to the root
of my "troubles" and concerns, she lead me to a place where I could
let go, forgive, and be more proactive about my dreams. Since
Melissa, I have been dancing and performing more than ever and
feeling much more positive about my life and career. I sought out
Melissa to lose five pounds yet, in the end, I wound up gaining so
much more than anticipated. I have filled my life with so much
meaningful matter that craving healthy foods has come naturally and
I desire them in order to support my lifestyle. My achieved weight
loss ended up being just an added bonus." -
