1. Following Your Dreams Isn't Realistic!

Okay Melissa.  All this talk about following your
dreams is nice, but come on.  Let's face it.
It's not really realistic.  I mean.  I have
responsibilities.  I'm too old to change plans
now.  I need to make money, and there are
people depending on me.

Well.  I never said following your dreams is easy.
I know there are a lot of flashy people out there
who try to pump you up and promise you that,
if you just read their book, follow their simple
plan, and of course claim it in the universe, it
will happen.

Get Ready For Hard Work, Baby!

I don't think it works that way.  Sometimes
things we want in life do come easily, but often
times the things we want in life take hard work.
That hard work includes planning, time,
brainpower, sacrifice, making difficult decisions,
giving up sentimental or "important" things, etc.

Your first step is really deciding that you're
going to do it.  Deciding that you are going to
take the risk and go full fledge toward that goal
or dream that's been bouncing around in your
head.  Then you need to sit down and create a
plan on how you're going together.  It might be
a three week plan, it might be a three year plan.
Sometimes we don't start down the road just
because we know it's going to be a long hard
road.  Be honest with yourself.  It's not that
your dream isn't possible, you have just not
been willing to accept the sacrifice...or maybe
you have not found a creative solution.

Create A Plan

Once you start creating the plan, you may have
to face the fact that there are some comforts
you'll have to give up.  You may not be able to go
out to eat as much because you need to save
money.  You might have to give up a lot of your
free time so that you can work on the project at
night after work.  You might have to sell many
valuable material posessions because for whatever
reason you can't take them with you.  You might
have to become decisive, say no sometimes, say
no a lot.  You might have to    -    work at this.

I personally think it's worth it.  And you must to,
or you would have unsubscribed from this
newsletter a long time ago.  There is nothing like
waking up in the morning and being exactly where
you want to be.  When you are in that place, you
bring more not only to your life, but you are able to
enrich the lives of the people around you much
more significantly as well, because you are able to
offer your best.

Get Creative

There are real challenges to achieving what you
want.  Sometimes you have to plan how to fit very
important things into the plan, such as if you have
children.  Sometimes you have to get creative.

What's blocking you from taking the road?  How
much more time are you going to wait?  Or have
you given up on it forever?

I hope not!

"I am constantly finding myself being amazed with
Melissa.  She is non-judgmental, supportive, caring,
encouraging, compassionate, open minded, and full of
knowledge.  So many times she has been my support
rock.  I have had the most pleasurable experience of
working with her as both her client, and as her web
designer.  She has supported me in some emotionally
difficult times such as stress when I was in school,
relationships, diet, finances, and business.  She has
always listened intently and has provided me with
sound advice.  I am unable to think of suitable words
to express the thanks and deep appreciation I have for
her and how she impacted my life."
