1. The New Year and What We Value

Can you believe it's almost 2008?

It really is true, as you get older, time just seems to go faster and faster. If there is one thing I could tell children - who always seem to be in a rush to grow up - it would be to enjoy every moment and to stop trying to get to the next thing so quickly. The only problem is, they will never listen. They haven't experienced life enough to comprehend that time will speed up when they get older and they haven't experienced life enough to understand the great benefits of being a child.

What Can We Learn

As adults, we can learn something from this. We have experienced enough life to know that the opportunities we have now may not be around forever. We have experienced enough life to know there is beauty in every stage of life - and if we don't embrace it, we might miss out on it. The thing is, most of us still act like we did when we were children, rushing to the next stage - except when we were children we had much more fun and were probably far more spontaneous.

We take each day for granted. We fight to survive. We fight to have things we don't even want...for the sake of our pride, because we are afraid, or because we want to please someone else (or someone elses) We work hard and narrow our focus, often leaving out the things we value and that truly matter to life.

What Are Our Values?

What do you value?

Let's look at it from two perspectives.

If you were not yourself but an observant bystander, what would that observant bystander, based on your everyday actions, interpret as your values?

In other words, sometimes we say we value a certain thing, but our actions show that we value something else. For instance, maybe someone will SAY they value family, but if you were to observe them, you would see that this someone works all the time and spends time on the golf course when not at work... rarely seeing their family.

So what do your actions say that you value?

The second perspective is:

What do you value in your heart? What are the things that move you, that matter to you, that you really care about?

Now, where are perspective one and perspective two misaligned?

Do you still value the things that you have always thought you valued?

Are There Any Changes You Need To Make?

What really matters to you?

Are there any changes you need to make so that your actions display more of what the reality is in your heart? or what you would like the reality to be in your heart? (sometimes when we do these exercises, we learn that even our hearts value things that aren't important, and that our hearts need to be changed).

For The New Year

As we approach the new year, begin thinking about what you really value and where you want to invest your time.

Private coaching is available as well as a professional women's group where we discuss career, relationships, body image, etc. There are also organic cooking classes and weight loss groups. The Lifestyle Makeover

I don't eat what I should, nor do I stick to an exercise plan. I'm not even sure if I know what I should eat! I find myself snacking on junk food and eating poorly when I'ma t work or traveling. I want to have more energy and be fit. I want to grow old healthy!

This package is for the typical New Yorker. You want to be conscious about your health, but you are not making it happen. You want more energy and to eat better. In this plan, we'll get down to the nitty gritty about what is getting in the way for you, and how you can achieve a healthier you without cramping your lifestyle. We'll create a therapeutic lifestyle plan that works just for you!

3 sessions - $375

The Weight Loss Makeover


I'm tired of not sticking to my diets. I'm ready to make a commitment to my health. I want to see my real body underneath this cushion. I want to feel good when I walk down the street and enter a room.

Sticking to a weight loss plan is hard. No doubt about it! This program is designed to get you off the dieting cycle and get you on a plan to achieve results. It's for individuals who are ready to make a change and commit to giving this gift to themselves. No more quick fix attempts. This is the real deal!

10 sessions - $1125

I Am - Strategic Solutions for Women in their 20's

I love working with young women! It's a time in life where you are testing your own identity and power in this world, yet sometimes you feel conflicted by the pressure of your parents' and peers' ideas about what track you should be on. You have your own mind and you want to use it... but sometimes you're not sure about your different opinions. This program deals with self-image, self-respect, confidence, and effective decision making.

5 sessions - $575 (sliding scale available for this program, please call or e-mail me for details).

3. Weight Loss Groups

Two weight loss groups beginning in January.

One is an in person group meeting on the weekend.

The other is a phone group meeting over the lunch hour during the week - 1 day a week. (individuals from any part of the U.S. can participate in the phone group)

4. Women's Professional Group

Women's group meeting Wednesdays from 6:45 - 8:15. It is a small group where we discuss issues like career, relationships, self-esteem, body image, women in the workplace etc.

This is a great place to meet other dynamic women, network, build relationships, support others, get support, and enjoy some thought provoking conversation.

$75 per month
