1. Getting Organized
You might have noticed that I didn't send out a newsletter last week. It's very rare for that to happen, but last week I started working with a professional organizer and it became much more involved than I expected. She turned my world around!
Now, I think of myself as a pretty organized person. I generally keep things put away and know where everything is. However, I hired her because I thought she might be able to help me use my weirdly shaped closet space more effectively. Before, getting to things I needed in there was always a pain in the butt, and oftentimes I wouldn't use certain items just because I would have to take so many things out just to get that one thing.
Thought I Was Organized
She ended up helping me with a lot more than my closet. We went into my armoire, bookshelves, and storage bins as well. I used to have a few of those notorious "miscellaneous" drawers and boxes. Not anymore! Now everything I own has a home. There is nothing out of place. My closet now has so much room in it. My bookshelves have space for candles and photographs, and I narrowed down from two large storage bins to just one!
Walking into my room feels so much more open and clean than it did one week ago. I used to think professional organizers were for people who were messy or undisciplined about categorizing and keeping things put in proper places. But I found out that an organizer is great for the average person who just wants to figure out how to use their space more efficiently. That really comes in handy with our small New York apartments where we try to fit a basement, attic and sleeping space all in one room.
Being Organized Reduces Stress
Being organized, having things in a designated place, and feeling like you have room to breathe is definitely a part of health. When you don't have that, your surroundings can create a low level of constant stress that is underlying everything else you do. If you think this is something you can use, I would definitely recommend Cindy. She has a great talent for being decisive, knowing quickly where things should go, and helping you decide when something should "simply go!" She has services for available for all different types of budgets. You can contact her at: Organizing Matters or 917-974-1474
And before I go, we are right smack dab in the middle of winter, and it's a great time to work on your health goals and improve aspects of your life that you've been wanting to get to. I have one spot opening up in my professional women's group for February. If you'd like to find out more information, please contact me.
The "Friend's Discount" on Private Sessions w/ Me
I am also giving a Friend's Discount to anyone who books their first session with me by January 31. What's a friend's discount? It means if you have never worked with me before, you can book a session and you can have your friend book a session, and you get both sessions for the price of one. Your session must be used by the last day of February and you must call to schedule it by January 31.
Private sessions are great for individuals who are stuck in a career (or a relationship) they don't really want to be in or just isn't working for them. This is especially helpful for artists. I've worked with a lot of artists who weren't doing much, if anything, in their field, (but really desired to be) and who are now working as actors, singers, and/or dancers. Sessions are also great for women who want to improve their self-esteem and body image, and if you also want to work on eating healthier, we can throw that in there too.
Hope to see you in February.
lots of LOVE
