1. Has Consumption Sneakily Enveloped Earth Day?
How many of you have recently been compelled by some hot ad to go out and buy cool new "green" gear?
The other day I was thinking about the regular newsletters I receive that tell me about all the cool new "green" gadgets I can buy. And for the first time it occurred to me: Why are my "green" newsletters always encouraging me to buy things I don't need? Isn't part of the problem with the environment our excessive consumption?
What's Most Environmentally Friendly
I think "green" gadgets are cool. I mean, if I was going to buy it anyway, I'd rather buy it "green" than not "green." And if I have something that is unsafe in my home because it's not environmentally friendly, then certainly I would want to replace it. But, I think you know what I mean...
This year will you join with me in thinking of Earth Day as simply about enjoying creation? Will you join me in thinking about how you can save what you have and buy less? Will you join me in figuring out how to re-use what you have and to share what you don't need anymore instead of throwing it out?
Ways To Celebrate
You could celebrate by planting something rather than to buying a product. You could celebrate by learning how to take care of a plant, or by starting an herb garden in your window. You could celebrate by walking or riding your bike instead of riding in a vehicle. You could celebrate by not buying food that comes in a package.
Just some thoughts... Earth Day is the 22nd. How will you celebrate?
Intro Perfect Weight Workshop - Free Intro Night
I'm hosting a one-hour workshops for all the individuals who are interested in my 12-Week Health and Fitness Perfect Weight Group. I have changed it to "Perfect Weight Group" in honor of my friend Nadette Stasa who wants women to think about going to a group to achieve their "perfect weight" as a positive step, as opposed to thinking about "weight loss."

"For whatever reason, people are so inclined to spend money on a health club membership and working out their body, but when it comes to working on the mind and emotions, people are more hesitant. I remember the session that we had together and all of the advise and direction that you provided was truly excellent. You really made a very positive impact on my life and I can tell that you are exceptionally gifted in this area. You have a very intuitive sense and are able to put all the pieces together very quickly and correctly. These are very good skills for the type of coaching that you do, and I hope more people will see how they can benefit from the coaching that you provide." -J.R.
"You are non-judgmental and so real and practical about dealing with these issues. I tell everyone about you. You are so young, but you are so smart and have great insight. I love working with you, and I'm a tough customer." GG, NYC
