Sometimes I just can't get over how amazing life is.  Those concentrated moments when I become so excited by and grateful for something I am learning or experiencing. 

These moments are moments that make life worth living for and make the hard days worth fighting through.

What Drives You?

I'm curious..., what is it in life that drives you?  What is it that motivates you to keep going?  What end are you trying to achieve? What will you do when you get there?

Which goals do you have that you think will significantly impact your life or make things different?

This is an important question because many people spend their life on a quest for something that, once they have gotten it, doesn't really give them what they were looking for.  It doesn't satisfy them or fulfill them. 

Do you think you will be one of those people?

What Do The Last 10 Years Say About You?

Think back to 5 or 10 years ago.  What goals did you have, and which ones of those have you achieved?  Which ones have really mattered to you or made a difference?  Which ones have changed your life for the better?

Now think back to the last 5 or 10 years and tell me which experiences have been most fulfilling for you?  Which ones do you value most?

Which ones have been least fulfilling?  Which ones do you want more of or lack most?

What's Next?

In light of these answers, where do you want to focus your attention over the next several years?  How will you make sure that in 10 years you will look back and have more moments that are meaningful to you? 

More importantly, how will you make sure that in 10 years you will be living in the midst of something very meaningful to you?

It's likely that you won't change much.  Who you have been in the last 10 years is probably very close to who you will be in the next 10 years in terms of what makes you deeply happy, sad, fulfilled etc. You can learn from yourself if you take a close look, and make choices for your future that will truly make a difference in your life.
