Reach Your Goals by Supporting Charity

Would you believe summer is already more than halfway over?
Are you finding that you have reached your summer goals, or do you feel you are back at square one, promising yourself things you continue to not follow through on.
Time is not going slower and before you know it your opportunity to take on your goals and dreams may pass. Don't let that happen to you.
One of my clients had this really terrific idea last week.
She recognizes in herself certain weaknesses and knows her tendency to get really psyched towards a goal and then not to complete the follow through. Sticking to a weight loss plan has been an area we have discussed quite a bit.
Her idea was to raise money for a charity by having friends and family pledge a certain amount of money to the charity based on her weight loss success. For instance, in walk-a-thons someone might help to raise money for cancer research by asking people to commit to .50 or $1 for every mile they walk.
With weight loss, my client could ask people to donate a certain amount for every pound she lost and payment would be due when she meets her goal weight by her goal date. Talk about accountability to get things done!
Hey! We need each other in this life. You don't have to do everything alone! Figure out what works for you and make it happen. Whatever you do, don't wait another day to make the choices and changes you've been dreaming about happen.
Life is too short!
